monday’s agenda

the weekend has come and gone and it’s monday’s turn in the week. i didn’t mind so much the weekend coming to an end. maybe because it was such a nice weekend with beautiful weather here in nyc. i tried to make a point to do something this weekend. what i mean is to choose an event from the many goings on and do something. i so often get overwhelmed by the sheer number of things to do in this town, i can often miss great opportunities by being paralyzed by so much to choose from.  i thought to choose something that interests me and do it! we decided to see some live, i would say alternative, music and it was fantastic. a few celebrities were in the crowd so i did my best not to stare.

this monday morning i was trying to keep track of the things i need to do and found myself stressing over it. not necessarily getting stressed by what needed to be done, but moreso fearful of not being able to keep in my mind all that needs to be done. i thought why try, write it down… a ‘to do’ list if you will. writing down our to do’s allow us to de-clutter our minds and this alleviates stress. in addition it is a more efficient way of keeping track of what needs to be done… so we can ‘set ’em up and knock ’em down’ as they say. that is, make a list and move through it, checking stuff off as we complete it. it’s also a wonderful visual for what needs to be done, and what has already been done. we can see it there, right in front of our eyes.

for the most part i am a pencil and paper kinda girl, i like the feel of pencil and paper as i am writing and moving through what i need to do. now i know there are lots of more saavy and techy ways of creating a ‘to do’ list. would you share what you do to keep track? i know it would be a great help…  for all who pop in… do tell!

the above image is by augustine kofie from keep drafting. just a cool site. i have no idea what i’m looking at for the most part, it’s just that cool! but it’s fun to look at.

have a wonderful and efficient week!
